TANL House

tanl house.jpg

The TANL House. Changing the way foster care begins. A child has no choice. It's not their fault. It's not what defines them, nor should it ever. When a child is removed from the home, it is the most traumatic life experience, often more traumatic than the reason they have been removed. Scared and uncertain for what the future holds, they are lost; nothing makes sense; nothing provides them comfort. It's a most challenging and tough moment for a child and the next several hours and days are often just uncomfortable and uncertain. What if...There's a safe, loving "home" for hundreds of children that will enter foster care right here in Madison County.  What if...There was a place for warm beds to sleep in, toys to play with, and a dining table to sit and not only eat at but to color at? A Kitchen to get snacks and meals, a backyard to play in, a place to bathe, clean new clothes to put on, and loving people to make sure each child is shown love in those critical moments of their lives? A home where love overshadows the circumstances that bring a child so much hurt and pain. A comfort zone. A safe place to rest and just be a child. A place, unlike anything Madison County has ever provided for the children until now. The TANL House is a home that will provide a safe place for caseworkers to bring children when they are removed instead of the current option of taking the child back to their office for hours or overnight. You have the opportunity to be a partner in the building of a new way we provide for children removed from their homes. A way of love, hope, and a better future. We are reaching out for partnerships/ donors to make our vision a reality. To make a real difference right here in Madison County. Thank you all so very much for all of your love and support over the past year. God Bless
